Refund and Late Fees
Raise the Barre – Studio of Dance requires written notice 30 days from the first of the month for any child that needs to withdraw from the program.
There will be a $25 fee for any declined payment.
No refunds will be given due to your child being ill, going on vacation or canceling because of weather. They will be allowed to do a make-up class in any style that is appropriate for their age.
Raise the Barre does not follow Harford County Public Schools with regards to inclement weather. In the event of bad weather, a decision will be made up to an hour before class starts. You may call the studio, check our website or any of our social media platforms for information.
We will do our best to make up any classes missed due to inclement weather, but cannot promise that it will fit in our yearly schedule. If we do have classes on a bad weather day, you are not obligated to come if you do not feel safe driving.
Dancers are expected to be early or on time to class so that they can have a proper warm up before diving into class. If you are going to be absent, please call or email the studio so we can let the teacher know. They will then be allowed to do a make-up class in any style as long as it is appropriate for their age.
COVID-19 Policies and Procedures
If we are mandated to close due to a government shutdown, all classes will move online to Zoom. No refunds will be given. Classes for ages 4 and under will be evaluated.
All proper protocols will be followed in our studio and a medical questionnaire will be filled out online prior to the start of each class. We at Raise the Barre promise to do our absolute best to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
If you or someone in your family tests positive for Covid-19, please let us know as soon as possible. Each case will be discussed, followed by a call to the health department before a decision is made on how to proceed.
Parents are allowed in the lobby and we ask that you stay socially distanced.
We have created smaller class sizes to allow dancers to be more spread out.
Floors are steam cleaned every night, as well as the studios being wiped down after every class including the door handles, light switches and cubbies are disinfected after every class.
There are air purifiers in all studios.
No street shoes or food are permitted in the studios.
Masks must be worn at all times. Even though it is not required for ages 3 and under, we strongly recommend getting them to wear one.
Only water is allowed. The water bottle must be a closed lid with no straws sticking out.
The entire studio, including all bathrooms, is cleaned multiple times throughout the day.
Garage doors can be opened to allow fresh air to circulate in the studios and lobby.
We will exit dancers in a staggering order out of each class and will get dismissed through the lobby door. We ask that you come out of your car to the lobby door or come inside to pick up your child. Sometimes the parking lot gets a little crazy and we want to make sure everyone is going to the right parent.
If your child misses class, they will be permitted to have the make up in any other class that is their level if it is not full.
